Why Extrude Our Own Vinyl
Any window is only as good as the sum of its parts. And
since vinyl is the primary component in our windows and
doors, it has to be the very best from raw material to finished
product. We have committed substantial resources to insure
that every part of every window is the highest quality.
There are very few vinyl window manufacturers in the country
capable of extruding their own vinyl components. They must
use outside suppliers for the most critical of components.
We extrude our own vinyl profiles through European crafted
dies to ensure you a reliable source of high quality products.

-
Design begins in-house. From initial CAD
designs to final production, we have complete control
over a product's design and construction.
-
Our formula is of hte highest quality, with
optimum Titanium Dioxide content for the best weather-ability,
color control and impact resistance.
-
Our high capacity, state-of-the-art vinyl
extruders operate smoothly in a clean, isolated environment.
-
European equipment and extrusion dies provide
a leading-edge advantage and offer the latest technology
to our facility.

Assurance of Quality
We have complete control of the entire extrusion process.
We start with virgin vinyl - only the best will do. And,
since we buy in such volume, we are able to maintain cost
stability.
A computer-controlled formula of raw vinyl and ten other
premium grade ingredients is precision blended into one
of our high-capacity, state-of-the-art extruders. This compound
contains optimum levels of Titanium Dioxide (Ti02),
the key component in maintaining consistent color, maximum
weather-ability and high impact resistance. We even have
our profile forms custom made to fit our specifications
and tolerances. And because we are in complete control,
we can supply our window and door production on a daily
basis.
Defective lineals are detected immediately. Our quick response
to quality correction avoids interruption of our window
production and keeps our window quality at the highest level.
Because the vinyl extrusion is in-house, we are not dependent
on delivery constraints of outside suppliers. This gives
us immediate quantities of replacement extrusions in the
event sub-standard materials are produced. Most competitors
must wait for new shipments of lineals to arrive or risk
making a window with potentially defective materials.

Quicker to You and Your Customer
From concept to production other manufacturers can take
over two years to develop a new product. Because our engineering
and product design are all in-house we can introduce a new
window in less than a year. More importantly, we encourage
your input in a new product's design. This enables you to
stay way ahead of the market with new and innovative window
and door products.

-
Hourly testing cycles for impact resistance,
weather-ability and color match ensure you quality standards
that are consistently monitored. All extruded lineals
are the result of multiple processes, from design to the
raw formula to the extrusions and ongoing audit procedures.
Our finished lineals are created with your finished product
in mind.

Since, we use the highest quality compound, our vinyl scrap
may be reground and used internally for single wall accessory
profiles such as sill angles and head expanders. Efficient
use of materials helps us keep costs down and prices stable.
We also filter and recycle all of our water used in the extrusion
process to help preserve the environment.

On-Site Vinyl Compounding
Whereas there are only a handful of window manufacturers
with the ability to extrude their own vinyl, there are even
less that have the ability to compound the raw resin into
a formula that may be extruded. Ellison's manufacturing facility
has this capability and it is one of the significant features
that separate its product composition from its competitors.
Vinyl resin is compounded on-site and pumped directly into
the extrusion building where the lineals for fabricating the
windows and doors are produced.
Ellison's products are literally constructed from as close
to scratch as is possible in the industry. By having this
self-sufficient advantage, Ellison products are not reliant
on a supplier's production, quality or distribution capabilities
and limitations. Internal control of the manufacturing process
from the most basic vinyl formulation properties through the
fabrication process allows Ellison products to be produced
consistently to the same standards and delivered to its customers
without the dependability factors of an external supply chain.
